Corn Dolly

Corn Favours are part of a tradition dating back 100's of years, made to give that someone that one 'favours'.

A corn dolly is a straw-crafted symbol of the harvest, fertility, and good luck that originated in Europe.

The tradition of making corn dollies dates back to the 1500s. 

Corn dollies were traditionally made to celebrate the end of the harvest and to thank Mother Earth. 

Corn dollies were originally a pagan symbol of fertility. In Celtic culture, the corn dolly was used to honor the spirit of the harvest, which was believed to live in the last sheaves of corn. 

Corn dollies are still used in pagan ceremonies, but today they are more commonly used as a decorative art form. They can be hung above a kitchen table or in a barn to protect the family, livestock, and food. They can also be used as decorations for Christmas trees or wreaths.
